Katherine White

Deputy Director for Infrastructure and Investment

A graduate of Trinity College Dublin and the University of Glasgow, Katherine specialised in environmental economics and has spent over 15 years in Scottish Government roles related to energy and climate change – playing a leading role in a range of technical and high-profile policy areas. She led on the production of the 2050 Scottish Energy Strategy and, more recently, Scotland’s Infrastructure Investment Plan.

In her early career spent three years at the UK Committee on Climate Change, establishing the CCC’s early analysis on Devolved Administrations – working closely with colleagues in Wales, Northern Ireland and Scotland. Currently, she is Deputy Director for Infrastructure and Investment for the Scottish Government – supporting Scotland’s transition to a net zero inclusive growth society.
