Elizabeth Press, Planning and Programme Support Director. International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA).

 Elizabeth Press is Director of Planning and Programme Support at the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA). As part of her portfolio, Elizabeth has been working extensively on raising awareness on renewable energy in the climate action space and has been an active member of the Global Climate Action team on energy, where IRENA led the efforts on renewables.

Elizabeth joined IRENA in November 2010 and was a member of the team that transition the Preparatory Commission to a full-fledged Agency in April 2011. Before joining IRENA, Ms Press had some 18 years of international experience, mainly with the United Nations, in the field of development, humanitarian assistance, and political affairs. She has served in HQ duty stations in New York and Geneva, as well as in different field locations, including Rwanda, Kenya, Burundi, DRC, Cambodia, and Kosovo. Ms Press holds an MA in Public Administration.
