Fernando Torija has worked for the past 17 years at the European Investment Bank. He is currently responsible for relations with Banks and Companies in Spain. Previously, in this same institution, he was responsible for the origination of projects in Mercosur and Chile.

His professional experience in the private sector includes 5 years in investment banking at Deutsche Bank in London and 7 years in Citibank in New York and in Madrid.

He has a degree in Business from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia and in Law from the National University of Distance Education (UNED). Under his belt he also has a postgraduate degree in Master in Finance from the Commercial Deusto in Bilbao in collaboration with the CECA.

Fernando is a lawyer for the Madrid Bar Association and also passed the requirements to register as an Account Censor for the State of New York.
